Gastronomic & Wine Journeys

Journeys designed
around you

France invented the idea that eating and drinking well are among the highest forms of human pleasure — and has spent five centuries perfecting the argument. Its chefs have defined the language of fine dining for the world. Its vineyards produce wines that set the standard against which all other wines are measured. Its markets, its fromageries, its boulangeries, its charcuteries — each one a chapter in a story of artisanal mastery that is as alive today as it has ever been.

At Safrans de France, we design gastronomic journeys for those who believe that the finest meal of their lives is still ahead of them — and that France is the most likely place to find it. Whether you are a lifelong lover of French cuisine who has dreamed of a cellar dinner in Burgundy, or a passionate amateur ready to discover what natural wine from the Loire actually tastes like, we create the experience that is entirely, precisely yours.

These are journeys where the table is the destination. And the destination is extraordinary.

The Great Tables of France
Experience 01

The Great Tables of France

A three-Michelin-starred restaurant is not merely a meal — it is a complete artistic experience, as considered and as carefully composed as any painting or any symphony. The progression of courses. The precision of each ingredient. The knowledge and the passion of a kitchen team that has devoted years to achieving something that cannot be described in advance and cannot be forgotten afterwards.

France's greatest tables — Épicure at Le Bristol in Paris, Flocons de Sel in Megève, Baumanière in Les Baux-de-Provence, Georges Blanc in Vonnas, Régis Marcon in Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid — each express a different vision of French haute cuisine, rooted in a different terroir and shaped by a different culinary intelligence. A gastronomic journey through two or three of these tables, with reservations secured, tasting menus curated, and wine pairings arranged with the sommelier in advance, is among the most extraordinary experiences we design.

The Vineyards of France

To taste a Chambolle-Musigny in the cellar where it was born, poured by the vigneron whose family has tended that single parcel of Côte de Nuits for five generations, is to understand something about wine — and about France — that no tasting note has ever been able to capture.

Our wine journeys take you behind the labels and the scores, into the cellars and the conversations that produce the wines the world speaks about in reverent terms. A private morning at Domaine de la Romanée-Conti in Burgundy — visiting the vineyards, understanding the philosophy, tasting wines of extraordinary rarity. An afternoon in Champagne with an independent vigneron whose blanc de blancs appears on no export list and whose cellar holds perhaps eight thousand bottles of something remarkable. A sunset tasting at a Provence domaine where the rosé is poured cold on a terrace above the Luberon.

These are the wine experiences that change the way you drink. We arrange them as a matter of course.

Markets, Producers & the French Larder

The finest ingredient in France never appears on a restaurant menu. It is eaten at the source — the oyster opened at the producer's table in Cancale, the truffle shaved over eggs still warm from the farmhouse kitchen in the Périgord, the tomme de Savoie cut from the wheel in an alpine fromagerie, the fig eaten standing in the market in Aix because waiting until lunch is simply inconceivable.

Our market and producer experiences take you into the supply chain of French excellence — the people who grow, raise, cure, press, and ferment the finest ingredients in the country. A private morning at the Marché d'Aligre in Paris with a chef from one of the city's best bistros, who will tell you why he is buying this particular leek and not the one next to it. A visit to a truffle producer in the Vaucluse during the winter season, ending with a truffle lunch at his kitchen table. A morning with an olive oil producer in the Alpilles, tasting seven pressings side by side until the differences become as legible as languages.

France's larder is the finest in the world. We will open it for you.

Paris & the Prestige Institutes

The most intimate way to understand French cuisine is to make it — under the guidance of someone who has devoted their life to the subject and who teaches with the particular generosity of those who believe that knowledge shared is knowledge multiplied.

We arrange private cooking experiences with some of the finest culinary figures in France: a morning in the kitchen of a Michelin-starred chef in Lyon, learning the beurre blanc and the quenelle de brochet that have defined Lyonnaise cuisine for two centuries. An afternoon with a Basque chef in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, mastering the pintxos and the ttoro that his grandmother made before him. A day in the Dordogne with a specialist in the ancient art of confit and foie gras, in a farmhouse kitchen where the techniques have barely changed since the 17th century.

You leave with recipes, with the muscle memory of having made something extraordinary, and with the particular confidence that comes from having cooked at a level you did not previously think possible.

Your Table is Ready

Every great gastronomic journey begins with a conversation about what matters to you — the regions you love, the wines that move you, the kind of meal you have always wanted to sit down to. Tell us, and we will design the rest.
